PIPING IN THE ARMY (THIS SECTION IS CONSTANTLY BEING UPDATED)

The British Army can be sub-divided into these sections;
Armoured (Cavalry and Mechanised units)
Household Division (Scots Guards)
Infantry

There are also regular and irregular (Territorial army) units.

It is a complex subject with a knowledge of the ‘family tree’ of various regiments necessary to fully understand just what is what and who is who.

This section is being commenced with the details of pipe majors of the various units being uploaded. If any reader has other information or additions we would be pleased to hear from them. EMAIL pipingworld@hotmail.co.uk

Note that regiments are not listed alphabetically, they are instead listed in order of seniority. On each page the family tree is broken down and further sub-divisions are listed.
