A 2-day ‘Basic Piping’ workshop aimed at Novice/Grade 4 pipers wishing to improve their own personal performance levels musicianship. This workshop is designed to ensure that the piper is using only correct learning techniques, as well as the speed learning system, EASY METHOD.
Instruction is given only on practice chanter although demonstrations are also given on pipes by the course instructor.

DAY 1 10am-5.30pm
MUSICIANSHIP: how to ‘read’ phrases, memorise tunes quickly and play better plus THE ROAD TO BETTER PIPING
TECHNIQUE: improve your technique (plus practice methods)
PERFORMANCE SESSION 1: learning a new tune with the EASY METHOD.
OPEN SESSION: Open Question & Answer problem solving session
DAY 2 10am-5.30pm
MUSICIANSHIP: staff notation and music theory - using them to help you play better
TECHNIQUE: more technical work, practice routines and exercises
PERFORMANCE SESSION 2: learning a second new tune with the EASY METHOD.
OPEN SESSION: Open Question & Answer problem solving session
A full instructional CD ROM is given to all students as well as staff notation and a certificate of course attendance.
