ON-LINE LESSONS BY SKYPE
Individual personal lessons are the ultimate in piping tuition. The availability of Skype allows these lessons to be delivered on-line, giving pipers anywhere in the world access to first class tuition as well as the other major advantages experienced by both pupil and tutor saving valuable travelling time.

You can also set your own pace - determining exactly when you want a lesson at a time which is mutually convenient to both you and your tutor.

THE PIPING SCHOOL will set an exacting pace with total emphasis on playing time - these lessons are all about piping, not blethering! Lessons are given by Bruce Campbell and are pre-booked.

Each lesson is either a 40 minute teaching spell (or 20 minute teaching spell) with 5 minutes to test equipment and get over the formalities of saying ‘hello’ - after that it is down to some hard playing for the next forty or twenty minutes. Expect to be put through your paces with a close look at what you have been learning and what you are now playing with the lesson finishing with an agreed action plan which will either be a  new tune/new exercise or more revision of the current lesson.

40 minute lessons are available between 9am and 9pm GMT and are all booked out ‘on the hour’ e.g. the last lesson of the day is booked out at 8pm with a 40+5 minute lesson which will finish at 8.45pm. 20 minute lessons may be booked either on the ‘hour’ or the ‘half hour’.

The cost for lessons is £16 per 40 min lesson or £8 per 20 minute lesson and must be booked in advance through our SECURE ON-LINE PayPal system. You can also book a block of 6 - and save by getting the 6th lesson free.

If you would like to book lessons you must first either phone or send an email to confirm that your selected times are available. There is also a brief student questionnaire to fill in (it will take about 2 minutes) to give us an idea of both your current standard and what your aspirations are. From there we will chart your progress on the ‘road to better piping’, giving lessons which are both stimulating and technically challenging. Along the way your piping will certainly improve - as long as you put in the effort in between lessons.

Choose how many lessons you wish - go for a block, do individual lessons or book as and when you wish; take this at your own pace. We teach all levels of piping including solo MSR and Piobaireachd.

What THE PIPING SCHOOL doesn’t do is to stick you onto a ‘pool’ system of teachers - instead you will be taught personally by Bruce Campbell, a tutor with a proven record of taking novices to solo competition prize-winning standard.
